The A-Bomb Dome is the skeletal ruins of the former Industrial Promotion Hall which was in use on august 6 1945, the day the atomic bomb was dropped over Hiroshima. The Rest House of Hiroshima Peace Park is another atomic bombed building in the park. The building was built as the Taishoya Kimono Shop in March 1929. Date of Inscription on the UNESCO was in 1996.
