Iran have been famously found and fund from 500 B.C with the achamenids kingdom and by Cyrus the Great. and Its capital was called pasargade. one of those day's special cities which is so famous between the historians is Persepolise which have been found by Darius the Great. from 1933 Persia has changed its name to Iran by the request of Reza Shah Pahlavi (Shah of Iran in the time).

Iran is an ancient country. Most people know it by its other name "Persia"

Iran has a history of 7500 years , so I don't think it could possibly be just "founded" :D
