New Fist of Fury was released in 1976
1962
Yes Jackie Chan is the lead actor and stunt coordinator for Dragon Fist, directed by Lo Wei. It was made in 1978 but only released after Jackie joined Golden Harvest.
He didn't. Drunken fist was a made up thing in a movie. No such thing exists (or it hasn't been invented yet)
This is a difficult question to answer because there are three answers. In his book "I Am Jackie Chan' Jackie wrote that he had a starring role in a movie made by a company that went bankrupt before the picture was finished when he was about 16/17 years old. Naturally the film never saw the light of day. Then he was cast in the lead of "New Fist of Fury" when he signed with Lo Wei.but the movie that Jackie Chan is perhaps best known for is "Snake in the Eagle's Shadow" which was the first movie that really had any success and made him a star.
Jackie was in several of Bruce Lee's films as a stuntman and extra. He was in 'Fist of Fury' as a student. He was in 'Enter the Dragon' and faced Bruce Lee in the underground fight. Bruce hits Jackie unconscious by accident. In Fist of Fury Jackie doubles for Suzuki in the scene where Suzuki is kicked through the screen door by Bruce Lee.
