Nelson told Hardy to give all of his possessions to his daughter, Emma. After that he said "Kiss me Hardy." Hardy bent down and kissed him on the cheek twice. "God bless you Hardy" said Nelson. By now very weak Nelson started muttering some words. Hardy heard him say "God I have done my duty." Nelsons last words were "God and my country.
