no i have a 91 justy and had the same problem the only difference is that mine is fuel injected it all depends on if the ignition wires on the distributer are correct so first try rearranging them if that doesn't work than loosen the two set screws on the top and the bottom of the distributer keep the car running then slowly twist the distributor back and forth until you hear the engine running smoothly then tighten the set screws and your good to go.
