yes
Well, castes aren't illegal, but discrimination based on caste has been illegal since 1950.
No it is not legal but that doesnt stop them from still using it
Yes. Everyone should be
No , Many people still believe and use the caste system even though it has been officially abolished by the Indian government
The untouchables (or Dalit) are the lowest caste in the Hindu caste system. While discrimination based on caste has been prohibited and untouchability abolished under the Constitution of India, discrimination and prejudice against Dalits in South Asia remains.
The main reason India abolished the Zamindari System was because of land reform. Under this system, the Zamindars could take land, get free labor out of the tenants, evict them at will, charge high rents, and not contribute anything to the betterment of the area. The abolishment helped provided non-rich people with their own land ownership, distribution of natural resources, and other social justices.
due to casteism honour killing is becoming more and more powerful...........with proper education the poision of caste system will abolished one day from INDIA..... CASTE IS a big obstacle in the way of nation's development...................
it affected the caste system by bringing new content to the caste system.
Unfortunately no, that is not true. Many people still observe some or all of the traditions of the caste system even though it has been officially abolished by the Indian government. This would never end. It is because unlike in science like poles repel each other, in life, like people attract each other. So, if two people will have same thinking over the things that are related to caste system. then this would definitely lead to the upliftment of caste system.
Buddhism has no belief in caste system. It frankly rejected the caste system.
The caste system totally screwed up India. It defined as a caste or a group that would be stagnated in that caste. In other words, you could not ascend in society. If you were born a pariah, you would stay as a pariah for the rest of your life, for example.
The zamindari system was abolished on 1950
The caste system was abolished for a reason. Of course, the higher castes, the Brahmin, were treated well, but the serfs, laborers, and "Untouchables" (people who did the dirty jobs) were treated horribly. The only way you could change castes was by marriage or, actually, death. The people believed in reincarnation and thought that if you lived your life well, you could be reincarnated into a higher caste. Hope this helps!
