The most recent North American maximum glaciation period was about 20,000 years ago, and ended between 11,500 and 14,000 years ago (as marked by increases in sea levels). However, glaciers still exist in cold regions of the continent.

*The beginning of the Holocene has a radiometric (carbon-14) date of about 10,000 years ago.

The most recent ice age is still with us, it started over 2.5 million years ago and hasn't finished. The most recent glaciation in North America ended about 10,000 years ago and, with a few hiccups, it's been getting warmer ever since.
