AnswerJ.C Higgins Model 29 was manufactured for Sears by Hi Standard:Not all J C Higgins were made by Hi Standard, but this model was.Marlin, Winchester, Browning and Savage also made guns for Sears.
J C Higgins is a brand name for rifles made by various companies for Sears. Mossberg, Savage, Remington and Hi Standard made rifles for Western Auto and Sears using the Higgins name on the Sears rifles.
I got mine new in 1956.
JC Higgins knives were made by assorted manufacturers like Schrade Walden, Camillus, Western and Case. These knives were produced to sell for less than the name brands for companies like Sears and Montgomery Wards etc. Most of these knives were produced prior to 1975. The values of these knives vary depending on condition etc. but you can expect them to sell for about 40% less than the same knife of the original manufacturer. I hope this helps
No. Several companies made guns for Sears under the JC Higgins name. They still exist but no longer make guns with the JC Higgins name.
J. C. Higgins was not a manufacturer. J. C. Higgins was a tade name used by Sears Roebuck & Co.
I belive that Remington made alot of the jc Higgins guns, but I would have to see it to be sure
Check "Blue Book of AirGuns 7th edition" Both Daisy and Crosman made Airguns under the J C Higgins name for Sears.
