Never. The Republicans will never gain control of the House again. I can't improve this answer , I just pray it is wrong about when her term of office will be over. Who ever submitted the above.... Boy was this ever wrong....YEAH
the speaker of the house
They might both be wrong. It's definitely "Nancy and", but whether the pronoun is "I" or "me" depends on how you're using it in the sentence. To determine which, forget about Nancy for a second and consider whether you'd say "I" or "me", then use that and put "Nancy and" in front of it again.
1917 Jeannette Rankin, a Republican from Montana, entered the U.S. House of Representatives, the first woman ever elected to Congress. She served from 1917 to 1978 and again from 1981 to 1991; a pacifist, she was the only lawmaker to vote against U.S. entry into both world wars. She loved star wars. 1922 Rebecca Latimer Felton, a Georgia Democrat, became the first woman to serve in the U.S. Senate. She was appointed to fill a vacant seat temporarily; she served for only two days before giving up her seat to the man who had been elected to it. You are probably asking about Sam Rayburn. He was the longest serving Speaker in the history of the House of Representatives, serving 17 years (from 1940-1947, then from 1949-1953, and again from 1955-1961). Although he was born in Tennessee, he lived in Texas for most of his life.
He/she is called back to speak again;)
He/she is called back to speak again;)
I hope it's Bono again from U2. He's a great speaker.
The current Speaker of the US House of Representatives. He is a member of the Republican Party and arguably Obama's biggest political opponent. John Boehner represents a district in western Ohio, which he was first elected to serve in 1990. He chaired the Education Comittee and later served as an assistant party leader. In 2006, after the Republicans lost control of the House, Boehner replaced Dennis Hastert as leader of the House Republicans. He served as Minority Leader for 4 years. After the Republicans won control of the House again in 2010, and Boehner was elected Speaker.
A good public speaker is typically referred to as eloquent, persuasive, engaging, or charismatic. They have the ability to captivate and inspire their audience with their words and delivery.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives is next in the line of Presidential succession. However, this would require that both offices, President and Vice President, be simultaneously vacant. This is much less likely following the enactment of the 25th Amendment, which provides for a replacement Vice President whenever the position is vacated.According the current Presidential Succession Act (3 USC § 19), the order of succession if both the President and Vice President die, are removed from office, and/or are unable to perform the duties of President is:Speaker of the HousePresident pro tempore of the SenateSecretary of StateSecretary of the TreasurySecretary of DefenseAttorney GeneralSecretary of the InteriorSecretary of AgricultureSecretary of CommerceSecretary of LaborSecretary of Health and Human ServicesSecretary of Housing and Urban DevelopmentSecretary of TransportationSecretary of EnergySecretary of EducationSecretary of Veterans AffairsSecretary of Homeland Security(The cabinet members are ordered in the line of succession according to the date their offices were established.)Note that a President is required to be born a citizen, to be at least 35 and to have lived in the US for 14 years. If the next in line does not meet these requirements, he or she will be passed over on the list.Note also that line of succession applies only to the office of the Presidency. Once one of those in the succession becomes President; that person appoints a new Vice-President with the advice and consent of the Senate. Before 1967Prior to the ratification of the 25th Amendment in 1967, there was no provision for filling a vacancy in the vice presidency. When a president died in office, the vice president succeeded him, and the vice presidency then remained vacant. If the president died or left office when there was no vice-president, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate would have become president, and next the Speaker of the House. The Speaker assumed the top position in 1947, after the period 1886-1947 when only Cabinet officers were in the line of succession. If both the President and the Vice President are unable to serve, then the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives would become President.Boehner, Speaker of the House of Representatives.
