When will highway system develop a Northeast Interstate running east to west from Maine to New York State?

Most likely this will never happen because there is just not the demand for it. It would be extremely expensive and as of this date 2008, there is not enough population in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and upstate New York to make this a viable project.
