To transfer Pokemon from 3rd Generation, you must get the National Pokedex, and Pal Park on Route 221 will open. You can transfer 6 Pokemon every 24 hours from each game. Pal Park is not compatible with 1st or 2nd Generation.
This was probably posted years back but there is no answer so here we go. On pokemon games you can carry 6 pokemon with you. Not 7. If you catch a pokemon and you have 6 pokemon with you, it will go to your PC Box, which you can access in the pokemon centres across the map.
