There are no plans to adopt the Euro in the UK.
No. The UK refuses to adopt the Euro and refuses to accept the Euro.
Bosnia and the UK
There would be various advantages if the UK were to adopt the Euro. For example, there would be greater transparency in transactions with Europe.
The UK, including England, does not use the euro. Though a member of the European Union, the UK chose not to adopt the euro and instead still uses its own national currency, the pound (sterling).
No.
Because we're proud of our independence ! Add to that the financial problems in Greece and other countries who use the Euro - and I'm glad we're not part of the fiasco it has become !
The UK does not use the Euro because of a number of economic factors. In order for a stable transition is it important that the economy of a member state and the eurozone are in sync and this was not the case when the UK last looked at joining. The UK is not under obligation to adopt the euro and currently has no plans to look into the issue again.
It did NOT. Even now we do not have euro :)
Yes.
There are currently no plans for the United Kingdom to adopt the Euro and it's not likely to happen for a while. The current Conservative-Liberal Democrats coalition are very much against the idea of the UK adopting the Euro, especially given the current economic climate and value of the Euro.
Britain will proably adopt the Euro at some time, however they have opted not to use it for now. When or if t that will change is unknown.
Poland didn't adopt euro currency yet. Poland still uses PLN (Polish New Zloty).
