No. That is handled by the router or wireless access point (WAP). The only way that the owner knows is when he just so happens to log into the management interface of that router or WAP while the "guest" is attached wirelessly. If he sees that, he might revoke the IP address assignment and change the wireless keycode but most often he will probably try to figure out if it is some device of his first before messing with trying to cancel the access.
Also, something to keep in mind is that many routers have their DHCP lease times set to as little as two hours, so unless the router/WAP owner logs in before the expiration of said lease (and the "guest" is not around to renew that lease upon its expiration), he will never know that the person ever had access.
