Depends on the state in which you live. Normally you need a licensed driver in the passenger seat that is of a certain age, usually 21. Does not have to be a relative in most states, but may be in your state. Some states even have time limits on you driving. Contact your local DMV for your states laws regarding this.

If you are 15 and have your learner's permit can you drive to school and work in Oklahoma?

No you can't...your learner's permit allows you to drive only with a licensed driver over 21...your primary license (or whatever its called...the one you get for the first 6 months of your license) allows you to drive to school, work, church, and drive a sibling places.

Can you drive someone if your year isn't up if you have a note signed from both parents?

It depends on the restrictions of your license. In NC, we have a graduated licensing system. For the first 6 months of your license, you can only drive 1 friend or an unlimited number of immediate family members (provided they can all be safely secured in the vehicle). After that time, you can go back to get an unlimited license and drive as many people as your car can properly and safely hold.

Can you use your NZ license to drive in the UK?

You can use any non-EU driving licence in the UK for the first 12 months of your visit. If you are in the country for longer, you will need to get a UK driving licence once those 12 months are up.

How many minors can be in the car with a minor driving?

From what I heard, when you first get your driver's license, you can have one family member sit in the car with you but this excludes cousins. I don't really remember how long you have to have your driver's license before you can start driving minors around but it is usually 6 months to a year. I am certain that after 1 year, you can drive around as many people as your car allows. I hope this help.

Can i drive in the UK with a Philippine license?

What type of noncommercial license will you need?

There are basically three types of licenses when speaking of noncommercial. The class D license applies to people who drive trucks that weigh 8,000 pounds or more, but less than 26,001 pounds. This license is usually provided to farmers and drivers of authorized emergency vehicles. The class E license is the most common. I have this license. It pertains to any vehicle weighing less than 26,001 pounds, mopeds and small scooters included. Anyone with this license may drive until the license expires. Once expired, it must be renewed. The class E-learner license applies to people who are first learning to drive. The vehicle must be less than 8,000 pounds and a person 21 years or older who has a driver license must be sitting on the passenger seat the entire time. People with this license can only drive during daylight hours the first three months, then from 6:00AM to 10:00PM thereafter. This person may not operate a motorcycle with this license.

Can you use a north American driving licence in the uUK?

I'm from Holland where we drive right. We went on holiday to the UK (where they drive left) and my father (with driving license from a country where they drive right) can drive there so the answer is YES. You can also drive in the US with a UK license.

Can you get your license back if you have three driving while license suspended?

At trial, you can offer as a defense the issuance of the new license three months after the suspension. That may serve to show your belief that your license was valid at the time of the first suspended license violation. The second suspended license charge will be tougher to fight, as you had to know from the first ticket that your license was suspended.

Can you drive by yourself with a provisional drivers license to school or for sports activities?

No. The laws in California state this: After you pass your driving test, you will be issued a provisional driver license. With your provisional driver license, you must be accompanied and supervised by an adult 18 years of age or older or by a licensed or certified driving instructor when you: * Transport passengers under 18 years of age at any time, for the first twelve months. * Drive between 11 pm and 5 am for the first twelve months. This means you cannot give anyone under 18 years old (your friends, your brother(s), sister(s), cousin(s), etc.) a ride unless you have an adult, a guardian or other adult 18 years old or older in the car with you. You are also not allowed to drive between 11 pm and 5 am during your first year after getting your license unless you have a licensed parent, a guardian or other adult 18 years old or older in the car with you. With a provisional license, you can drive by yourself between the hours of 5 am and 11 pm. If you are under 18, you cannot be employed to drive a motor vehicle.

If a person with a license is too tired to drive can someone with a permit drive in his place?

Not if the license holder is too tired to stay awake or is sleeping. The license holder is deemed to be 'in control' of the vehicle - that is the reason for the law about accompanying a permit holder exists in the first place.
