Start here:
Do you hear the pump run when you turn the key?
Are you getting spark to the plugs?
Has the fuel pump reset button (drivers side kick panel) been reset?
What is the actual fuel pressure? just because the pump is new doesn't mean it's good.
Bad pressure regulator?
Is the PCM opening the injectors? bad cam/crank sensor
There are several reasons why a 1998 Ford Contour will not start. The car may not start if the battery is dead, the starter may need replaced, or the head gaskets are blown.
The problem may lie with a clogged fuel injector or a spark plug that isn't sparking.
I have a 2000 Ford Contour . It attempts to start when it is cold but will not catch . It will start when it is warm. I have had it in and out of the shop for a month. They have replaced many parts andI had it dagnosed but it is still not starting. The diagnosis was fuel pump. That did not help. Temp sensor, Cam also replaced. They don't knopw what to do and are baffled.
u might need a new starter
Sounds like the tranny is gone, you'll need to replace it/have it replaced or rebuilt.
Usually if the cursor is in some text and you start to type, the text that is already there is pushed over. If you press the Insert key, it changes to Overtype mode, meaning text will be replaced as you type the new text.Usually if the cursor is in some text and you start to type, the text that is already there is pushed over. hot wire it
A contour line is a drawing that is just an outline of an object, with no shading. I'm not sure if this answered your question, but it's a start.
ford 99 contour will not start, front wheel is in lock position. how do you fix the anti- lock system
Had same problem in my 2000 contour. The problem was with a bad wire on my fuel pump. Every time i turned a sharp corner car would stall. I replaced fuel pump and no probs since.
Do you have spark? If you do, check your cam/crank timing marks to ensure the spark is when the piston is TDC (top dead center).
