you could have a bad ground wire that was my problem
Usually a car battery, but it also depends on the size of the battery.
if you have connected it up properly it could be just that your battery is completely flat and that when you hook up the charger some relays are getting power and making the clicking noise
Always hook up the red or positive cable first, otherwise you could cause a short between the battery and the car through your wrench. Ths of course could cause an explosion or other problems. The black or negative cable goes straight to the engine and the car's frame, so your wrench can touch the frame when you are tightening the cable end on the battery with no worry.
check and clean the battery terminals
NO! where does the power (voltage and current) come from if the battery is flat/dead?
Sounds like a short on one of the battery cells. Get the local tyre and battery shop to check the battery out
take the battery terminals off and wire brush then and the terminals on the battery too to clean them and then re-hook.
Starter selenoid no good
cause johnny depp is cool and he eats lemons and so that is why he is strong and cut so i think you shouls hook a lemon up to a machine and see what happens.
There is several things that can cause your battery light to come on. Go to your nearest Advance Auto Parts and have them hook up the battery and alternator tester because your alternator could be bad, or if you have a lot of electrical products such as a powerfull stereo system, gps, DVD player etc., you could be drawing to many amps for you battery and alternator to keep a charge
hook a battery to it
Get a charged 12 volt battery hook 12 volt constant/RED to the + on the battery then ground - it should power up.
