NO! where does the power (voltage and current) come from if the battery is flat/dead?
The battery has a temperature sensor. If it was left unplugged, the battery light will still be on
Defective ignition switch, loose or corroded battery cables, starter connection, bad battery cable, or the battery can be bad even though it shows a full charge.
Could be anything electrical drawing current. Alternator could be bad, glove box, trunk, hood light not going out. The battery or cables being very dirty can give the battery enough connection to ground and drain the battery. Battery itself could be bad and not holding a charge.
get a amp meter they are fairly cheap check both battery cables to make sure they are tight. then check battery cables to make sure both are working properly then check starter wiring and alternator wiring. If none of them are the cause check the voltage regulator
Possibly dead battery, defective starter, corroded battery cables, or bad ignition switch.
You dont and even after they are hooked back up the code would have most likely been erased after the battery was disconnected.
I would replace the starter and both battery cables.
connect another cars battery with jumper cables. Will power the trunk motor, and allow it to be closed once cables are connected ( PROPERLY ). You might even be able to jump start car. Good luck
on my old 1.2 clio the battery light came on as there was fault with the alternator and it needed replacing. As far as i know the battery light comes on when the battery is not charging or there is a fault with the battery.
Loose or corroded battery cables? Bad starter - excessive drag --excessive resistance
Yes ( when you are using a battery charger ) Just make sure the charger is not on when you connect the cables. Another safer way is to connect the negative cable to a part of the engine and not even connect it to the battery post.
Something is pulling power from the battery. I assume you checked the battery to see if it is ok and does not have a bad cell. Can be any light on the vehicle that is on. Under hood light, trunk light, courtesy light, glovebox light, trunk light, or even a brake light. Can also be a relay that is stuck.
