in some cases yes you will have an oil leak
Yes, oil can leak through the switch.
Low Freon - Your AC system has a leak .The low pressure switch is working.
You need to set up a pressure switch or a motion sensor switch.
have system pressure tested to observe leak
An oil pressure switch works by detecting the pressure of the oil in the car and alerting you to any problems. Oil pressure naturally increases when a car is running, but if the pressure gets too high or drops, it can create numerous problems.
A leak, either the pressure line or somewhere in the compressor.
The water you see under the car when the air conditioner is running is condensation. If you are leaking antifreeze then you need to pressure test the system and repair the leak.
It would greatly depend on the source of the leak, need more info.
If it is directly below the ignition switch, then you have a problem with the vacuum tubes on the switch assembly. Remove the panels around the switch and see which one is leaking. Replace the tubes. I have a 1985 Mercedes 300D. The oil pressure gauge failed which caused engine oil to leak from under the dash. The car does not have an electric oil pressure sending unit, it has a pipe which is connected to the engine which is oil filled.
You could have a leak in your power brake system.
Drierside under car. Up on left front of transmission case. Transmission pressure switch. If it doesnt see transmission fluid pressure the car will not start.
may need to add refrigerant, system is equipped with a low pressure switch to keep the compressor from running when the pressure is too low. put a guage on the system to check the pressure. when the system is low the the compressor will kick on an off until the pressure is too low for it to run at all. this system runs on 134a refridgerant. you can go to the auto parts store and buy a can of 134a refrigerant with a basic guage which will tell you if the pressure is too low. this is cheaper than taking it to the repair shop. if the pressure is low however, this means the system has a leak. if the leak is large it may still require a repair. also check the condensor and the radiator to make sure they are clean . if they are not clean take the car to the car wash or use a hose with some pressure to clean out the bugs leaves and general all around dirt. you can also buy dyes or refridgerant with dyes in them for leak detection.
