Most are up underneath the dashboard. Turn on the heater blower motor and listen where the sound is coming from. The heater core is behind that sound.

Common causes, blower motor resistor, blower motor, wiring or controls
A malfunctioning blower motor resistor will cause the blower motor not to work. When the resistor is bad the blower motors will not turn on.
AnswerSmall round green light shows switched on foglights. Chirping sounds like a loose wire in the switch, take it to dlr for check. My '01 has a built in radar detector, the power indication light is green and next to the headlamp switch and guess what it chirps ;-), there is also a red led indicator above the up and down buttons on the cluster frame. There will be a rotary knob under the dash to turn it on and off and adjust the volume if this is what you have.
When you beat the blower motor, you are probably shaking the blower resister. The resister is what controls the blower speeds and is probably bad or loose.
