i am a Muslim so i will tell you the way i learnt it,once the angel Jibreel (Gabriel) came to Maryam (Mary) and said you will have a son and she said how can i?I haven't touched a man.Jibreel(Gabriel) said by the will of god anything can happen and call him Isa(Jesus).so she got pregnant then when he was to be born she went to her people,on the way she gave birth to Isa (Jesus) and was in pain against a date tree and Jibreel (Gabriel) came and said if you are hungry have some food so the dates fell from the trees and he said if you are thirsty drink so so from near her feet water came from the ground she was ashamed and she fasted in silence when she went there and people were saying Maryam (Mary) how could you do such a thing and so and so.so she pointed to her baby and he spoke and said I am isa the servant and messenger of god.sorry i forgot the rest.and they were shocked and so when he was a man he became a prophet.the Romans wanted to kill him but god saved him and took him alive to heaven and he is still there waiting to come down in amosque in damascus and one of his friends offered to mu crucified and with him was crucified were prophets Yahya (Jacob) and Zakariya (Zacheriya) after people changed his book the Injeel (Gospel) and so did the people of Musa (Moses) to his book the Torat (Torah) and they made lies and said that he died on the cross and he was the son of god.

Well, depends on if you understand Christianity. God was in the the beginning, and religion and faith started with the first man. But that wasn't Christianity. CHRISTIANITY began when Christ died on the cross for you. At that moment we had the chance to be saved from eternal suffering, and within the next week the first Christian church began.

That all took place about 2,000 years ago.
