Mount Nebo (Deuteronomy ch.34).
No man still knows where he is buried.
The signifance of knowing where Moses is buried is important as the bible says nobody knows to this day where he is buried.
Moses died on Mount Nebo in the land of Moab and was buried by God in the adjacent valley (Deuteronomy 34). See also the Related Link.More about Moses
Moses was buried in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor. This area of Moab is on the Southeastern side of the 'Salt Sea'. It is written in Deuteronomy, "So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord. And he buried him (Moses) in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day." (Deu. 34:5 & 6)
Since the only evidence we have for Moses is in the Bible and the Bible explicitly claims the Moses was buried, there is no genuine source to counter this and say that Moses was incinerated.
Deuteronomy ch.34.
God buried Moses in a secret place:Deuteronomy 34:5-6 (KJV)5So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. 6And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.
The death of Moses is recorded in the book of Deuteronomy. In Deuteronomy 34:1-12, it describes how Moses died on Mount Nebo and was buried by God in a valley in the land of Moab.
According to Jewish tradition, the location of Moses' burial site is not known. The Torah describes Moses climbing Mount Nebo before passing away, but the exact location of his burial remains a mystery.
Everyone around knew that Moses died, after Joshua was installed in his place in an orderly transfer of authority and responsibility. But nobody ever knew the spot where he was buried. As great and important a leader as Moses was, he has never been worshiped, and his grave never became a shrine. Moses died in private after being privately escorted (by God) to his burial ground and was buried by God alone. Therefore nobody else knew his location.
It says that the grave of Moses is not yet found.Reference:Deuteronomy 34:5, 6 - So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord. And He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth Peor; but no one knows his grave to this day.[NKJV] The only proper noun for the personal pronoun "He" to refer to in the passage above is the Lord Himself.
A:Deuteronomy 34:5-6 says that Moses died in Moab and was buried secretly. This was so that no one knew where his grave was, although the same concerns did not seem to apply to his illustrious predecessors or to those who followed. Deuteronomy 34:10 could explain this diffidence, saying that "there arose not a prophet since in Israel." This demonstrates that the Book of Deuteronomy was written long after the establishment of Israel and therefore very long after Moses would have died. The author knew nothing about the burial of Moses many centuries earlier but knew that it would have been natural for his readers to want to visit the site of Moses' grave. If indeed Moses was a historical person, there was no headstone and we do not know where he was buried.
In Deuteronomy 34, we are just told that Moses died and no-one knows where he is buried. The general location is provided as Moab which is near the Arabian desert. There is nothing about an instruction from God.
