Stevens was founded in 1864 in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts. Savage in Utica, New York, in 1894. Savage purchased the Stevens plant and name in 1920 and continued to make guns with the Stevens name in the Chicopee Falls facility until the late 1940's. The Stevens line was discontinued in 1991, but revived in 1998 or 1999 on a few "commemorative" models.

Assuming you're talking about who the company transitioned into, and that would be Savage Stevens firearms. http://www.savagearms.com/

If it has both the Stevens and Savage names on it, then it was manufactured after 1945 and before 1969.
These were manufactured from 1926 to 1945. If it is marked with both the Savage and Stevens names, it was probably made after 1941.
Contact customer service thru the website at Savage firearms. Stevens is owned by Savage.
Stevens guns were made at the plant in Chicopee Falls, Mass. Guns made from 1864 to 1886 will be marked J. STEVENS & CO. From 1886 to 1916 they were marked J. STEVENS A & T CO or J. STEVENS ARMS & TOOL CO. No Stevens firearms were manufactured from 1916 until 1920 when Savage Arms purchased the facilities and name. From 1920 until 1942 (or '48) Savage marked guns J. STEVENS ARMS CO and after that simply STEVENS or STEVENS/SAVAGE. The Stevens name was discontinued in 1991.
