First off the Spirit was only made upto the year 1995, and so was the 2.5L. But the freeze plugs are located in front of the engine... they are easy to see, just a round demple basically, in the engine block.
There are about 8 freeze plugs which one is leaking?
What other symptoms besides leaking antifreeze? Where do you see the anti-freeze leaking?
No
Worst case would be a freeze plug but most likely it is a heater hose or connector where it goes through the firewall. Good luck.
Check radiator hose, leaking water pump, look for hole in radiator, leaking coolant bottle or leaking seals.
Freeze plugs. More likely that hoses are leaking or thermostat housing is leaking. Freeze Plugs generally NEVER leaks unless engine block has had frozen coolant in it. Hence, Freeze Plugs.
Anti-freeze.
Either one of the heater hoses are leaking or you have a freeze plug on the side of the engine leaking.
freeze plug has blown out or leaking
Frost plugs are located in the heads & block. Theres a bunch of them so you will have to check to see which one is leaking. Some located between engine & trany also.
could be freeze plug, or intake leaking
Freeze plugs were part of the casting process and are generally found on the side of the block below the head. Unless they're leaking, they need no maintenance.
