To jack up a 2000 Chevrolet Lumina safely locate all the jack points found on the bottom of the chassis. These jack points will be reinforced to handle the extra weight and pressure.
The owner's manual will show you the points to place the jack. I suggest a floor jack and jack stands if you will be climbing under the car.
The jack points on a 1998 Corvette are along the vehicle's frame, just behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels. They provide a secure point to jack the vehicle up.
You should place the jack under the designated jacking points on the front frame of the van to safely jack it up. Refer to your van's manual for the specific jacking points location. Make sure the surface is flat and stable before lifting the van.
Loosen the lug nuts counterclockwise. Next, jack up car at the jack points (there are covers below the rocker panels). Jack up car, unloosen all the lug nuts. Remove wheel, replace wheel. Tighten lug nuts until they are seated against the rim. Lower car. Tighten lug nuts crosswise. Next stop, have the lug nuts torqued down.
Under the jacking points but please refer to your owners manual First
jack up on the rear axle or on the ubolt plate
on the back end use the towing hook at the center to jack up the back and for the front theres a point under the front bumper with two bumps and two holes to jack up the front end, if that's too hard you can always use the jack points on the frame near the tires
Most euros have jack points built into the lower body cladding. remove the jack hole cover, insert the specific jack portion, and you have damage-free jacking. Usually located just behind from tires and just before rear tires
Anywhere on the frame should support a jack and/or jackstand. I usually use the part of the frame near the front doors when changing oil (most common time I ever have to jack up my car).
Right under your doors you will see and arrow. You will jack it up on the sill. Look in your manual otherwise go to a tire shop and ask them. Rather safe than sorry.
The jacking points for the 944 are under the sill. if you look at the sill closely you will see a diamond shape pointing out where the jack should sit. be sure to use this point as you could buckle the floor or worse, put the jack right through the floor! it's the one point if you want the front or rear wheels jacked up.
