They are called valves on a trumpet.
They are not really keys...they are valves. There are three. Cheers :)
The Trumpet is a brass instrument. Has three keys called VALVES.
Valves
The chromatic keyed trumpet is a brass instrumentthat, contrary to the traditional valved trumpet, uses keys.
Sound it out! Record it, and play it. Play it on the trumpet until you get it right. Keep trying. Remember, the trumpet only has 3 keys!
before the trumpet looked like it looks today, it when through many steps. the trumpet works by the same physics a shofar works on. a shofar is a rams horn that people blow into to make a noise. a rams horn was the first example of a trumpet. over time, people decided to use the physics of a shofar to make an intrument. that was how the first trumpet was made. originally, the trumpet did not have any keys. people played by adjusting there lips and by blowing harder and softer. then, two keys were added to the trumpet to adjust the pitch. eventually people added three keys to the trumpet and learned to play with out adjusting there lips and by pressing the keys. even today, a trumpet still works just the way a shofar works.
