The Ford falcon 6cyl engines have small hydraulic lifters often reffered to as tappets. They are about 2.5cm long cylinder about 10mm in diameter these are located under the overhead camshaft rocker arms and directly act on the valve stems. they are self adjusting also, once they are outside their specified bleed down rate, they will have to be renewed as they will become noisy and lead to a distinctive tick tick tick noise in time with the revs especially when cold often associated with high mileage engines, especially falcon engines.

the oil pressure switch is located on the left side below the power steering pump. it is about 1.5 - 2 inches and about 2.5 inches long
The oil pressure sending unit is on the drivers side of the engine below the power steering pump on the 4.0 liter V6 in a 1997 Ford Ranger
It's part of the fuel pump assembly located inside the gas tank.
It is located underneath the hood. You might have to clean it off with a rag to read it.
