it is a 2wheel drive, light duty truck. they quit making them, and replaced it with the Dakota
with truck at stop, if it has manual hubs turn them to free, then push lever in cab to 2wheel high, if it has auto hubs, push lever to 2wheel high and reverse 10 to 20 feet or until you hear them click ( two clicks my be at same time ) this disengages them . some times if the lever wont move a very slow roll back or forward will help.

My f150 shifts from 2wheel to 4wheel on the fly, but to use 4low you need to be stopped with your transmission in neutral to engage the low range in my transfer case.
NO it will not. The center shaft in the 2-wheel drive transmissions are shorter then the 4-wheel drive transmission cause there is no need for a transfur case on the 2-wheel drives.
yes. you need to take out the front end and bolt it on. then take out te transfer case and front drive shaft.
The shaft inside the trans will have to be changed it is longer in a 2 wheel drive and the taIL SHAFT.
