How do you change Pontiac grand prix fog lights?

well i don't know what year car you have but for the 2004 model remove the headlamps then reach down to the fog lamp/signal lights to remove the headlamp assembly (easy) open the hood locate the white tabs while pushing rearward on the headlamp ,pull up half-way on the white plastic retaining clip align the square cut-out on the retaining clip with the notch on the headlamp pull the headlamp assembly straight out from the vehicle (may need to wiggle it a little) summary : pull up on white clip ,line up the square hole and pull the assembly out now for the signal and fog lights reach down where the headlamp was and you have access to the bulbs just twist and remove, make sure you know which bulb you want ..top / signal-parking or bottom / fog lamp i was shocked at how simple light bulb replacement was on my 2004 grand prix, no screwdrivers needed for access to front or back bulbs littlefoot

How do you change a headlamp in a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am?

First, remove the plastic cover that covers the headlight/grill area. Once that is removed, there are two tabs that stick up on both sides of the headlight assembly. Use a pliers to gently pull them up and the assembly will pull out. When you pull the bulb out of the assembly, be careful not to break the tabs off the plastic ring that holds the bulb in place. Reverse the procedure.

How do you change headlamps in a 2002 Grand Am?

2002 Grand Am headlight replacementFirst pop the hood. If you look directly down behind the headlamps on either side you will see two hex screws one on each side of the head lamp(these are adjustment screws, they do not need to be moved). Directly behind the hex screws there are two tabs, one behind each hex screw. These tabs need to be pulled up they do not have to be pulled completely out, just up enough to release the head lamp. Sometimes they will stick and need to be jiggled a bit. Once the tabs are pulled you can pull the headlamp assy away from the car. The only real problem is the retaining rings that hold the bulb in place usually breaks when removed. There is 90% chance that you will have to buy the retaining ring from the dealer. About $12.00. Remember try not to touch the bulb when replacing it, touching in can greatly shorting the life of the bulb. Also the bulbs should be replaced in pairs even if you have only blown one head light. When reinstalling the headlamp just remember to make sure that everything is lined up so the tabs will lock into place. If you do a lot of your own work on your grand am I suggest getting a copy of the Haynes Repair Manual for the Grand Am. Lots of good info for the shade tree mechanic. Vince
