On top of the motor (a 4 cyl.) is an aluminum housing with a black plastic insert. Remove the Phillips retaining screws (either 4 or 6) and lift off the plastic cover. Inside is 4 holes, the spark plugs are down in these holes. The two on the left are served by a coil and the two on the right are served by another coil. Each coil has two spark plug wires going to... you guessed it.

When replacing the spark plugs it is important to know the size of the gap. The spark plug gaps on a 2000 Kia Sephia is .044 inches.
Replace with the same OEM plugs that came in the car. Any Auto Parts store can tell you the correct plug.
2001 kia plugsRemove the 6 Phillips head screws on the plate that says DOHC 16V. The plugs are under the rubber boots; two of which have coils on top so you'll need a 10mm socket to pull the coils. Have fun.

Under the Black plastic cover on the Valve cover -6 screws then four #10 metric bolts to remove the coils

98 Kia Sephia Plug change Remove the cover on top of the engine. It is stamped DOHC and has six screws. Two plugs are under the ignition sets and the other two are one the ends, a total of four. Replace the plugs, spacing is 44 thousandths.
Change the 2 coil packs and the 2 spark plug wires and for good measure the spark plugs as well.
