When you say 'Timing Marks', there are several places on this engine that has various marks in regards to the Harmonic Balance, Camshaft sprockets, crankshaft, and timing cover.
If you are checking the timing, you will use the marks on the timing cover.
If you are setting or replacing the timing belt, you will want to use the camshaft sprockets in relation to the crankshaft/harmonic Balance.
On this year, the crankshaft key notch should be 12'oclock and the sprockets should have the timing marks 'E' for exhaust and 'I' for intake aligned facing with the 'E' at 3'oclock and the 'I' at 9'oclock.
Hope this helps.
