Replace the ignition wires.
Standing in the front of the truck looking at the distributor, #1 would be at the 1 O'Clock position on the cap, from there clockwise it goes 1, 3, 4, 2.
Possibilities: * the bulb is burned out * the fuse is bad * the wires leading to the headlight are broken * the pos and neg wires are shorted.
I wanted to put a new receiver in but i need the speaker wires to be plugged into the wiring harness and i cannot find them. i can find them by the speakers, but the do not go to the receiver...why is this? and where are they

whats the motor.....but regardless if you follow the plug wires they lead to the distributor cap. v6 has 6 plug wires.....one to each plug and all of the on the distributor cap.......v8 has 8 plugs with their wires leading from each plug to the distributor cap

open the rear doors and there will be screws pointing towards the taillights on both sides. either two or three per side. after removal they should break free and then remove wires (try not to break clips) and then you can access the bulbs

Start with a visual inspection of all sockets, bulbs and wiring involved including a trailer plug if applicable. Look for wires pinched or damaged. If someone has worked on the vehicle recently, look for electrical problems in that area they worked on.
All 1993-2002 Firebird/Firehawk/Trans Am, taillights are interchangable, just be careful when your removing the lamp sockets. The wires could be on the short side and when you go to remove them you could easily pull the wire from the socket. Hope this helps...
No they are not, The 78 does not have a computor. But the 88 does have and that means more wires and different wires.
