That all depends on the model and the year of the car. Passats use to be imported from Germany, but with the new American only Passat, its built in Chattanooga, TN. Golfs up to 1985 use to be built in Pennsylvania, now they come from Mexico like the new Jetta does, which use to also come from Germany. The Routan is a Chrysler Town and Country and assembled in the same plant. The Tourag and Eos use the same architecture as the Golf but I'm not sure of their build country. BTW, VW owns Seat, Skoda, Porsche, and Audi to just name a few of their cars, VW also has plans to become the worlds largest auto manufacturer taking over Toyota's claim to that little prize.
