Front Brake Rotors can be a pain, I would recommend going to your local Pepboys, Kragen, O' Reilly's or AutoZone Near you. They will need your year and model of vehicle.
You will find that the front brake rotors are located behind the front of your wheel spindle, (behind your wheel and brakes). There you will see the rotors.
Brembo brake rotors have been reported as being good brake rotors, they are pretty reliable, and durable. You can find out more information about them at the Brembo website.
You can find information on different brake rotors in a few places. You can find this information in car magazines, car manuals, car books, your mechanic and on car oriented websites.
there should be a Honda stamp on the inside center of the rotor
You can find online information about brembo rotors on their official website: ''http://www.brembo.com/en/Pages/default.aspx''. You will find a lot of information about this subject there.
this question should be under automible repair I'm having the same issue and from what I can find out the rotors cannot come off without pressing the entire assembly off the spindle.
There's nothing better then the GM. factory pads and rotors.Bendix rotors and pads are real good if you can find it.Wagner brake parts are good too.
Usually this is a sign of warped brake rotors. In order to tell if they are warped at the front, you should be able to feel a pulsing sensation through the steering wheel/brake pedal whilst braking lightly at ~100kmh (60mph). If they are warped at the rear (not usually the case but not unheard of), you may feel a pulsing feeling through the brake pedal and a slight vibration through the seat. In order to remedy this, go and talk to your automotive repair shop who should be able to assist you further and find out what the actual cause may be. They may be able to 'machine' the brake rotors (if they are at fault) so that they are no longer warped. If this is not possible, they may recommend replacement brake rotors. In both cases, it is recommended to replace your brake pads so that they mate perfectly to the rotor surface.
it's on the rear differential. It also controls your speedo. I had a pulsating problem with my front and thought it was the rotors but it was my abs sensor controlling the brake piston that was causing the problem.
all you will need is to find rotor size because front and rear rotors are different and check wheel size volvo"s have rotors sizes for different wheels packages disconnect battery find level ground jack up car remove wheel check brake remove caliper bolts remove rotor pin on rotor take a hammer knock old rotor loose check em,brake clean area from old brake dust reverse process
If you clean the rotor up alittle you will see it STAMPED on the rotor. Look at it and you will find it. That will be factory specs. If your smart, you will REPLACE the rotors and pads and you will have done a good brake job.
Brake pads are usually between $50 and $100 for a set (each axle), depending on quality. and if you really insist on turning your rotors, you are probably going to pay for 4 hours of labor total with pads installed and rotors turned, labor is also between $50 and $100 per hour. There are many variations as far as "brake jobs" go. You might get there and find out you need 4 calipers too... oops! tack on another $400. Do your self a favor and buy new rotors so your brake pedal doesn't pulsate after 10 miles of lead foot driving!
