Well first of all do you actually have lactose intolerance?? If so your doctor should be making the appropriate recommendations. Because he would also have to advise you as to what vitamins and supplements to take because you are cutting dairy out of your diet. I know for one you will need a calcium supplement. So I would recommend starting with your doctor and going from there.

What is the best treatment for lactose intolerance?

lactose intolerance is were you are unable to digest the protein lactose in milk because your body doesn't produce lactase to break it down into sugars. When you are young and feeding on your mothers milk, (or bottle fed) the genes that are responsible for the production of lactase are activated. But as you grow older these genes become in active. it western cultures, these genes remain active as we have social presures for the consumption of milk. (such as eating ice cream) People like you who dont produce the lactase are called lactose intolerant. Its not really some thing you can treat. Different people have different levels of lactose intolerance. Find out how much milk you can have before being sick or change to thing like soy milk or instead of ice cream have sorbet instead. But to answer your first question nothing as it does not work that way. the lactase must be produced by the body.
