easy!! open hood ,look left to black relay box, open box lid, 2 relays ,one is fuel fump and the other is main engine. Now what you are not asking is why? the 2 relays work in conjunction with each other,.the engine main relay energizes and on set of contacts make and energie the fuel pump relay,SOOOOOOO!!!! if the car is running along and dieing for no reason and it needs to have BOTH relays REPLACED. $16.00 each relay remember on this 98 to 2000 Kia's relpace relays in pairs. I have yet to see bad fuel pump on this vehicle.not saying it cant happen but after repairing probably 2,000 sportages with engine stalling problems it is almost always the relays! good luck !
