It is double wall pipe all the way and because they can. A muffler shop should be able to replace all of it with single wall and you will not notice any difference. Prices vary but the whole system should be 1/3 to 1/4 the cost of dealer pipe.
I'm not familiar with that particular engine but... Look for a metal pipe coming off one of the exhaust manifols that does not lead out the tail pipe. What that pipe leads into is EGR valve, there may be multiple components connected by rubber hoses. You can always buy new part first so you know what to look for.
One can purchase a spare exhaust pipe for a car at a website called AutoPartsWarehouse. You can also buy these same pipes at a website called JCWhitney.
If you follow the exhaust pipe out from the back of the engine you will see a cable going to the oxygen sensor in the exhaust pipe. You will need a special type of socket to remove the oxygen sensor which you can buy at an auto parts store.
go to an exhaust shop and they will make one to fit, if you cannot buy manufactureres part
buy a chip or programmer. straight pipe your exhaust.
Crawl under your Blaze from the passenger side and look down your exhaust pipe. You will see a sensor sticking out. Make sure the exhaust pipe isn't hot. Unplug the sensor and remove. Do yourself a favor and use only an OEM replacement sensor. Be sure to buy and anti-seeze compound and apply a little to the threads before installing. There is probably several O2 sensors my 1997 bravada has 4
Just buy a subaru impreza oil filter for it! My 2005 impreza has the same oil filter as the CF500 engine
You could cut the pipe where you want, then go to auto parts store and buy a slightly larger flare then whats already on it. Fit the flare over the pipe then clamp it or weld it. Continue to flare out until the desired width then run your pipe. You can usually buy this all at auto zone or advanced auto.
The exhaust pipe will need to be replaced, or, you can buy a quick-fix patch at your local auto parts store as a temporary fix. It's a treated "ribbon" about 2 or 3 inches wide that you can wrap around the exhaust pipe to cover the hole. The heat of the exhaust activates the chemicals in the "ribbon" to make it adherent. I believe the product is called a muffler repair kit.
had the same problem with mine.If you take off the exhaust pipe you will see that inside the pipe at about 2 inch from the top the inner pipe is cracked. If you're lucky and it's not too far down you will be able to get it weld(MIG).Mine was almost a complete circular crack of the inner pipe and not accessible...had to buy new set of exhaust!! Good Luck JM
it is located on the exhaust manifold looking @ the front of your car there is a round pipe going down wich if you look behind your car and follow the round tube to the front from underneath you will see a wire off the exhaust manifold unplug that and use a 7/8 or so wrench and unscrew the oxgen sensor and buy your replacement that should only take you about 20min or so
