Technically, no such 'animal' exists. Vinegar is vinegar.
Glacial Acetic Acid is used in Biology, photographic and other labs and it's just 100% Acetic acid. It's often cut (diluted) with pure distilled water so that the percentage of acid gives the correct acidity level (pH) which is just right for the application.
I've read several dozen recipes for pickled peppers in the past week and they ALL said to ensure that the vinegar contained AT LEAST 5-6% acetic acid.
Last night, I put up 3 large bottles of peppers using a mixture of 5% and 6.2% white vinegar. [The 6.2% was the very cheapest bottled vinegar I've ever bought. ($1.20 per quart.) Mostly, I use it with baking soda, for cleaning the drains in my condo.] The 5% one was top-quality salad and sushi vinegar (that cost about $3.50 per PINT). I just used what I had on hand.
Tonight I read that vinegar for pickles must be 4% or higher. This was endorsed by some semi-governmental advice board. However, I'd still be looking at the labels to choose the higher values. I would not recommend using vinegar with LESS than 5% acetic acid without seeing your pickle recipe first. (Most recipes require SOME dilution with water...insufficient acidity invites BAD bacteria into your preserves!)
Most stores ought to sell jars for pickling, canning, etc. Try Walmart or something such as that and stuff.

Sure! I love adding pickles to my sandwich for that extra crunch and tangy flavor.
The Preposterous Pickle The preposterous pickle, Was once very fickle, He sat in a jar, Until he could go far. The preposterous pickle, Only came out of the jar to tickle, But when he went to tickle, Peter Piper picked up that pickle. The preposterous pickle, Was eaten after he had tried to tickle, For now that pickle, Was worth more than a nickle.
