Where can one find a college automotive program that will take somebody's car outside of the program and repair it inexpensively or for free?
Try looking at a Vo-tech college or a high school vo tech program. My sister in law who lives in Penna teaches at such a high school that does that very thing. They won't do it for free, you pay for parts, but labor is provided by the students....depending on what the car may need. Call your local high school and see in there is one in your area and what their policies are.

You can ask if classes can be scheduled at different times...If you mean to have less work....you probably won't be able to convince the school. Try time management-budget your time and you still can have a life outside of college. If that doesn't work, you can always go to an easier school-that way you'll only have a life outside.

People would have a very hard time attempting to find a more stable industry than the automotive industry.
