If it is a turtle you found outside I strongly recommend that you return it to the safest place you can that is still nearby where you found it. If this is not possible, or it is not safe for the turtle where you found it, or perhaps you inherited it from a friend or something like that... the pet store is still your best bet. Take the turtle in so they can more accurately identify it.
