They are not hand fed in the wild, the smallest and weakest do not survive, only the smartest, largest, and strongest do. These breed and the resulting off-spring are no surprise. Do that for a few generations and you have super cat. Here in Australia they are a problem, if camping in the bush take care. If you accidentally corner one you are in trouble, a bullet from a .22 only makes them angrier.
