There are approximately 28 grams in one ounce of motor oil.
To ohm out a motor one would use an ohm meter. If one does not own or can not obtain a meter, the motor can be taken to a shop and ohmed out there for a fee.
One quart of Mobil Special 10W-40 motor oil weighs 1.8 pounds. Not all motor oils have the same density, and one gallon of motor oil will weigh between 6 and 8 pounds.

Standard Oil is one
Is it an automatic or a standard? If it is an automatic the dip stick should be in the rear of the engine compartment to one side of the motor, if it is a standard shift it will not have one, it will have 2 plugs in the side of the transmission, 1 at the bottom to drain the oil and the other on the side to check the oil....Good luck, buy a manual for your truck!
They're the same motor
Although the toxicity of unused motor oil after ingestion is considered low (see Related Links), it isn't exactly what one would call "edible". Used motor oil is considered toxic.
Crankcase or motor oil is thicker than transmission oil. That's one difference, there may be more (other than color)
