The answer is no unfortunately. Only other Zoo Tycoon 2 games will work with any one Zoo Tycoon 2 game. You will need Zoo Tycoon 2 to play any of the expansions. but there is a good deal for a game with all the expansions including zoo tycoon 2 its called untimate collection zoo tycoon 2 better than buying them all. I think you can download the game free at mofunzone.com.
Can you play zoo tycoon 2 ultimate collection without zoo tycoon 2?
yes it can run without it because it comes with it ---- At the bottom of Zoo Tycoon:Marine Mania and the bottom of the Zoo Tycoon:Extinct Animals, it will say "Requires Zoo Tycoon 2 to Play." I got Marine Mania, but it wouldn't install because it required Zoo Tycoon 2, the regular one with a monkey on it holding a banana. Once you've installed Zoo Tycoon 2 on your computer, you can then install the expansion pack Marine and Extinct. Have fun!

Yes, you can, but you must download the regular Zoo Tycoon 2 CD and download the expansion packs one at a time afterwards. Or you can buy the complete collection, which has Zoo Tycoon 2 and all of the expansion packs with it. It's around $45.00, but it works great and is really fun!

How do you get zoo tycoon 2 downloads into the game?
Well it should say download near the thing you want to download. So you click that and then it will ether come up with a folder or a zoo tycoon icon file thing. If its a folder then click open, if its an icon click save. Then if its a folder it will come up with a file, open that one and then when you see the zoo tycoon icon, move that into your zoo tycoon file (located it C, Program Files, Microsoft Games, Zoo tycoon). You do exactly the same for the icon but you don't have to open the file and all that. Hope this helps! :D
