The Internet and children can be a difficult combination. Children must be protected from predators while on the Internet, and they must learn which information is safe to share and what is unsafe.
The internet, friends, and rarely parents.
Yes, children can learn to be prejudice from one or both of their parents or, they can also learn it from one friend or a group of friends in school.
CHIDREN OF TODAY ARE MORE WORLDLY WISE THAN THEIR PARENTS as the children of the the todays generation have many kinds of technology like the computers ,internet and the television. they even learn from their parents and their surroundings they have some extra coaching as well
Yes.
Yes!
Some parents may need to lose some control issues over their children, at the appropriate age involved with those children. That is a hard lesson to learn for some parents.
Definitely parents should decide what websites their children are browsing if they are under the age of 18. There are many dangers on the Internet and different Forums that children go too (FaceBook or MySpace) are popular 'chat forums' for children to young adults and even some adults and any forum is a play ground for criminals; child abusers and much worse. No matter how much one's child protests against the rules of the house when it comes to the rules of where they can go on the Internet parents who are good parents will take the beating and keep on ticking! The best way to get around a child on the Internet and the parent worrying about what they are doing is to monitor their actions and give them only so much computer time and there are 'locking devices' where your child cannot access certain websites (if you do not know how to do this phone any computer repair place and they will let you know how to do this.) Parents should learn about the computer so they can trace where their child or children have been on the Internet and help monitor where their children go. It is wise for parents to let their child/children learn by using their brain rather than scouring the Internet for answers unless the teacher has asked that child to use the Internet for their homework. Parents cannot have a watchful eye 100%, but they can narrow the dangers of the Internet for their children by a large percent. In some States and some Provinces of Canada the police have a task force program to try and catch predators of children and ask that parents take an active interest.
All of the above (Apex)
Yes, but they don't always agree with their parents.
By paying attention to their teachers, peers and parents
Too many - children are supposed to do their own homework to help them learn, but there are parents who want to help their kids get better grades so they will do the homework for them. In the long run, however, these parents are selling their children short by not allowing them to learn on their own.
