I've asked this question too, but I didn't seem to get a responce (which really makes me frustrated!!!)
All I know is that I think it should be displaying the PAL logo. I tried download one using eMule, but I didn't have much luck... well, I downloaded a ps2 bios displaying PAL and used that for the emulator, but all it can do so far is load up the ps2 menu. And that's it, it doesn't run my ps2 game (FF-X, incase you wish to know).
My best answer I can give to you is, if you have one, dump the ps2 bios from your console and use that for the emulator... which is kinda complicated.
You have to get them from an Australian PS2 see related links
No.
see related link for the site and an English guide The guide is for a newer version of PCSX2 and a Wikipedia link was also added for the emulator
Well if you have the ps2 bios for your region (the bios has to be taken from an actual ps2 because its hard to find on the internet) and the only bios ive actually found is a European bios and it doenst work with the ntsc games but if you live in a pal region your in luck. ha well after you find the bios and put it in the bios file in pcsx2 youll be playing games well some and check the compatipility file to see if your game is going to work.
BIOS stands for basic input-ouput-system and it is how the machine reads and parses data
u can download it on net
Legally, PCSX2 requires you to have a PlayStation 2 for two reasons, one as a license to play PlayStation 2 games, and the other for you to dump the BIOS from, as PCSX2 requires a copy of the PlayStation 2 BIOS. Once you have PCSX2 running, however, there is no technical reason you need a PlayStation 2.
