According to Omaha Vaccine Company, no. Some states require that rabies vaccines be administered by a licensed veterinarian. In addition, most local laws require that the vaccination include a certificate of vaccination and tag, which are only available through your veterinarian. ... THE FOLLOWING STATES WILL NOT ALLOW US TO SHIP RABIES VACCINES INTO THEIR STATES: AK, AL, CA, CT, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MT, NC, ND, NE, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OR, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, WA, WV, WY, PUERTO RICO.
My sister gives our dogs all their shots except rabies. She can get the vaccine, but not the tag, so you wouldn't have an acceptable record to show for it. We are in NE Ohio. Here's a better answer... Yes you can. I live in Ohio and buy my dogs' rabies vaccines here: http://www.wholesalekennel.com It's in North Carolina. They send you the vaccine, syringe, certificate and tag. Very reasonably priced and shipped well packaged with a cold-pack to protect them from heat. They also have other medications and vaccinations. It saves a lot of trouble and expense by not having to haul all the animals down to the vet! Well, I'll one up the answer above... YES, you can have the Rabies vaccine shipped to your house in the state of Ohio (it is one of the few states as of right now that it is not illegal to ship it to); however, I must tell you that according to the state of Ohio your dog will not be deemed Rabies vaccinated because it was not given by a licensed veterinarian. In which case, if your dog ever bit anyone it would be put through the same quarantine and procedure as a dog that has never been rabies vaccinated. If you are unfamiliar with this, the dog is in quarantine for 10 days, no contact with any animals what-so-ever and minimal interaction with humans, if within those 10 days the dog shows symptoms that could be foreseen as a potential rabies case - well the dog will be euthanized and tested for rabies. All in all, it's just better to do it at a veterinarian.
If you are a resident of Virginia, and not prohibited from owning a gun, you may buy a gun from any other resident of Virginia. This applies in MOST states. If you are not a resident of Virginia, then you may buy a rifle or shotgun from a Virginia dealer, but not a private citizen. This is addressed in Federal law- US Code 18.922
you go the to the vet.
no, just go to a store and find out for yourself
Strictly speaking, no. You can only buy handgun within your state of residence. However, you can pay for a handgun in another state, have the gun shipped to a dealer in your state, then go to that dealer to pick it up.
It is not illegal to buy over the counter medication anywhere. If you have a prescription, you can go to any pharmacy.
look on Craigslist Virginia
It's not the cheapest state to buy a new car in. Florida ranks 3rd. The cities of Tampa/Orlando, Fla, and Miami, Fla, rank 1st as a city but the cheapest state overall is Maryland followed by Virginia, and then Florida.
No it is not legal!!! Added: I would add this, for consideration; Unless the anti-rabies vaccine (of the kind that is usually preventively administered to cats and dogs in a veterinary clinic) is controlled as prescription medication, AND it's purchase is restricted strictly to Veterinary Medicine practitioners, I would research your state law to determine if the above answer is factual in your state. I don't believe that there is any law against self-administering approved medications of any type to your OWN domestic animals.
One way to purchase Virginia state bonds is to go through the state's department of the treasury. Instructions are given on the department's websites, along with contact information to make purchases easy. The site also provides additional investor information, as well as a list of their various bond programs.
