Bioflex is a trade name for a fabric-like product that conforms to the curves of a woman's body. it is adapted to use in Buoyancy compensators intented for distaff use as it ( scientifically conforms to the shape of a woman's hips). As such, such appliances are sold at Diving equipment shops.
The BioFlex body jewellery can be purchased from only a limited amount of distributors in the UK. BioFlex (the right spelling) is the original and trademarked by Europierce Worldwide (UK) in the European Comunity and in the United States under the Madrid Protocol. The real BioFlex jewellery is manufactured in Europe and is made out of medical grade plastic. This is given so no confusion is made with the cheap and different material that is sold under simila names (bio-flex, bio flex, etc..) which are made in Asia by unscrupulous companies. You can buy BioFlex in UK to the following addresses : http:/www.bodyjewelleryshop.co.uk (Distributor, may hold items that are not available on the website of the manufacturer) http:/www.body-piercing-jewellery.com (manufacturer of the BioFlex jewellery) http:/www.argos.co.uk (do a search for "bioflex", they sell only a belly bar in BioFlex, but there is a lot more to BioFlex) For other countries, you better send an e-mail to the manufacturer which will redirect you to the right distributor as BioFlex is sold worldwide.
Yeah you do need to wait until it's healed. if you don't the bioflex can delay healing due to the materials its made of.
Do you mean bioplast? Most piercers will if you ask. Bioplast can be autoclaved so it's fine for initial jewelry.
It definitely shouldn't split. You may have gotten the jewelry snagged on something and caused a little tear. Go back and see your piercer to have them check it out and help solve the problem :)
Hiya, so I got a nape piercing on Saturday. Everything is absolutely perfect, healing just fine, no redness, cleaning twice daily. It doesn't even hurt anymore which is amazing. My piercer was super careful and everything, checked I knew EVERYTHING beforehand, went through it, got the location spot on, checked I had the right skin (enough give etc) and measured it out. Super professional and careful on every step. But I was told today by someone that the bar they used was wrong, my piercer used a bioflex barbell, with a few extra mm for swelling. My reason being that I react to all types of metal, even titanium, I'm super sensitive. My piercings always do amazing with bioflex, and always heal up perfect. But i was told today I needed a titanium staple bar or else it would 100% reject without a doubt. Is this true? I've read up and people have mixed opinions, some get on well with bioflex barbells, others get on well with titanium staples. Will this be okay? It seems absolutely fine in my opinion, healing up amazing, but obviously i'm new to nape piercings so need some more advice. Thanks p.s I'm off to get a tattoo at a great place near me, and I'm going to ask their piercer (shes really good) on her opinion too.
