Is Sims 3 PC better?
This is only my opinion, but yes. There are thousands of mods for TS3 PC that are simply not possible on the console/phone versions of the game. If there is something that annoys you about the game, there is probably a mod to fix it. There are also hundreds upon hundreds of websites to download custom content for your sims game...everything from hair to clothes to paintings for the walls to...you get the point. There is a lot of free content and a lot of pay content. The free content (often times) is just as good as the pay stuff. I played The Sims on console back when they released Bustin' Out (?) and found the controls to be less than satisfactory and the limitations of the system were too much compared to the PC version. With the PC version, I feel like I get "more bang for my buck."

I'm pretty sure you can't, but if you might be able to find a custom content website where they try to recreate stuff like that. If you get the sims 2 Bon Voyage expansion pack there is a life-size shipwreck that's pretty cool and has tons of interactions for you sims. You could probably download that somewhere, try yahoo answers. THey have a lot of helpful stuff about the sims 2 there.

How do you install a user-created mod for Sims 2 PC?
Place the file unzipped into Documents\EA Games\Sims 2\Downloads. If you don't have a Downloads folder here, you can create one yourself by using New Folder and making sure to name it "Downloads." Start the Sims 2 and go to the Options and choose to Enable Custom Content. You may need to save this option and restart the Sims 2 in order for it to recognize the files. You can also create more subfolders within the download folders to organize your custom content that you download.

How come right after you install the custom content on the sims 2 for PC and you start the game again it crashes?
it means that what you downloaded is crashing your game. hopefully you know what file it is that you put in your folder, if not then you have to search through them to find the one that's crashing your game. it happened to me once and i had to search through 5000 downloads.
