I believe it is in the center stack of the dash and if you need to change it you have
to remove the radio
The gem module on an 03 Ford Explorer is under the dash. It is just to the left of the radio.
You can find the module for your 2000 Ford Explorer on the firewall in the engine compartment. The module will be on the drivers side of the firewall.
# 25 is a 7.5 amp fuse for the speedometer , GEM system on a 1996 Ford Explorer ( in the fuse panel in the end of the dash , the fuse panel cover is visible with the drivers door open )
The GEM (Generic Electronic Module) on a 1996 Ford Explorer is typically located under the dashboard, near the driver's side, above the brake pedal. To remove it, first disconnect the vehicle's battery to prevent electrical shorts. Then, remove the screws or bolts securing the GEM, detach the connectors by pressing the release tabs, and gently pull the module out. Always refer to a repair manual for specific instructions and safety precautions.
I BELIEVE the GEM is in the center stack of the dash , behind or just to the left of the radio in your 2001 Ford Explorer Sport ( can anyone confirm that ? )
I believe the GEM is in the center stack of the dash and that the radio has to be removed to gain access
I believe it is in the center stack of the dash , and that the radio is removed to gain access to the GEM
The GEM in a ford windstar is located up inside the dash, above and to the left of the gas pedal. it's held in with a single bolt.
I'm not sure if your Ranger is the same , but on my 1995 Explorer with a similar dash the GEM is in the center stack of the dash , to the left of the radio On a 1997 Ford Ranget 4x4 the Gem module is located as stated above. Behind the radio and to the left.
"Generic Electronics Module" It is used on 1995 and later models according to my Haynes manual.
Because you reversed the polarity and destroyed the GEM?
I believe the generic electronic module ( 5.0 L - 1996 to 2001 ) is located behind the radio and to the left - disconnect your negative battery cable and then remove your radio to gain access
