State the model of the rifle? 126.19320 Answer: Both Crosman and Daisy made Air rifles for Sears under the JC Higgins name. Any model that started with 126 was a Crosman and any model that started with 799 was a Daisy. I believe your model is a Crosman 400 made between 1962-64. If it is a JC Higgins pellet rifle it was made by Crosman or Daisy air guns. If the model number starts with 126 it was made by Crosman. (www.corsman .com) Crosman has all their manuals for parts on the web page. If the model number starts with 799 it was made by Daisy (www.daisy.com) you will have to contact them to get your information.

I have absolutely no information on a Crosman model 143. Are you sure it isn't a model 140 or model 147. I even searched the net and can not find anything on a model 143.
The "First model Rifle" was made in 1923. The first gun was around 1947.
