Leviticus 18:22+ Leviticus 20:13 both condemn homosexuality. Under the Mosaic Law, practicing homosexuality(along with bestiality, adultery and fornication) was considered 'Porneia'(illicit sexual relations) and if the one behaving in this manner was unrepentant, it carried the death penalty. This prohibition continued into the Christian congregation (1 Corinthians 6:9/Romans 1:26+27). (Genesis 19:4+5/Jude 7)
The old testament is the first half of the bible. The old testament is before Jesus was born (BC). The new testament is telling about Jesus' life.
The Bible's position on homosexuality can be found at the following biblical references. Note: The first two references are in the Old Testament, while the third one is from the New Testament. The implication is that the Bible has had a stance on homosexuality for a long time. There are about 294 quotations in the New Testament from the Old Testament. But of these you will seldom find exactly the same words in the two quotations because the Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the New Testament in Greek originally; and through many translations the words also change somewhat. There are also, besides these, about 633 allusions to Old Testament Scriptures in the New Testament.
